Old photo. Updated. Fair warning, I'm not a photographer... I just take photos of things/moments I feel present a certain feeling or invoke some emotion. I took this one day because it just seemed kind of neat. It's a bike I owned... unfortunately the thing was so rusty and decrepit it was impossible to ride... but it sure was neat looking! Last picture of it before it got thrown out for being virtually useless and taking up space in the back yard. Yeah... I like to take pictures of weird inanimate objects...
That is not a glitch... I'm requesting critiques on this one because I'd like to see what areas of Photography I could improve upon.
» I just take photos of things/moments I feel present a certain feeling or invoke some emotion. imho, there is little difference between photography and hunting. it is all about pressing the thingy in the right moment.
as for the photograph: the background is a fence. the emotion that i personally get from this is, that the fence is separating the bike from the kingdom behind it. the shot is fairly close-up. the angle speaks about a grandeur - that the bike still has - in some amount. there are plants kind of grasping it. and it cannot help itself out of it....
the title „forgotten“ bears the emotion mixture only partially. there is also a sense of neglected, left behind, and lonely -- in the picture...
just my very personal scribbles ...

Come I may, but go I must, and if men ask you why, You can put the blame on the universe
Idk anything about photography either <_< But i think bc of the angle/perspective of this (wich is perfect btw) should be blurred in to background and make the front of the bicycle sharpened.

I love the concept and this picture really, it's "nostalgic", reminds me of a lot of things I've forgotten in the past and that I wish I still had. |D I like the sepia coloring too, it makes it look old, it's great!
Can I try? lol Ok You mentioned that the bike was old and rusty and so using Sepia was good. It gives it not only an "old timey" look but also like you froze time within the picture. I like the angle you took it in I usually try that with trains and such.
I also agree with ~talulah-bell on not centering it and leaving more room on the right side and line up the left side edge of the camera with the tire. this way It emphasizes the angel you took it in =]
Lighting is great BTW and the plants coming up the tires emphasize time too.
Sorry if my comments too lengthy and If you dont get it. I will take it down soner than later but I posted it here so you can see what i mean-> [link]

Ohhhhhhhhh I kind of like your version a lot better :3 I only wish the original image was wider and more panoramic But alas I flipped the camera so it was length wise instead of keeping it steady on. You are right though, it look much better with more scenery on the side. Thanks for showing me
